October 2011

We are pleased to welcome back Carrie after her maternity leave.

We are now open on Tuesday evenings for massage, reflexology and podiatry.

We wish Claire Shepherd and Amy Collins well in their own practice ventures and thank them for all their good work at the Orchard Clinic.

We welcome Becky King who has joined Sally and Elaine on the reception team.

Very sadly, Saffron Ray, a dear friend and fellow Osteopath died unexpectedly on the 12th January. We will miss her so very much both personally and professionally and send our love and thoughts to her partner Chris, their children Ellie and William and all of Chris and Saffron's family.

We are thrilled that Carrie's baby boy Harry arrived safely on New Year's Day, a brother for Joshua.

We are very pleased to welcome two new Osteopaths: Tom Morgan and Isabel Velasco join Kelley, Amy and Claire to bring our Osteopathic team to five. We will shortly be in a position to offer Osteopathy on a Tuesday evening, and on a Saturday morning and afternoon.

Christine Barnes continues to be at The Orchard Clinic on a Tuesday and Thursday for Beauty treatments and will now be available on a Wednesday morning for Remedial Massage as well.

Lloyd Clark Morris will be at the Clinic on some Saturday mornings in the New Year for Podiatry & Chiropody. Please call the clinic to check dates.

Kelley Waters has been visiting local mother and baby groups in Pangbourne and Tilehurst giving talks on the benefits of Cranial Osteopathy for new born babies and new mums! If you are a local health visitor or member of a local group and would like Kelley to give a talk or would like any information do contact the clinic for Kelley to call you.

Christine is running a Christmas Charity Pampering Evening at Bradfield Sports Complex on Friday 19th November from 7pm offering a chance to try out some of her beauty treatments. Proceeds from the evening will go to the Parents for the Early Intervention of Autism (PEACH) and Breast Cancer Care charities. Tickets are £5 each and more information is available on Christine's website.

We are pleased to welcome reflexologist Abi Williamson who will be starting work at the clinic in May.

Her former podiatry clients may be pleased to know that Mel Greenaway has had a baby girl, Elkie, a sister for Milo; we send our congratulations to Mel and Kevin.

We are holding a pamper evening on Tuesday 20th April in aid of Children with Leukaemia, from 7pm. Please come along and enjoy a range of mini-treatments and refreshments. Please book your treatments in advance!

Kelley has now returned from maternity leave and is combining working part-time at the clinic with being a mum to Ben and Georgie. Now Kelley is back Lisa and Michael have left and Saffron is cutting down to one visit a month due to childcare and her long journey.

We've expanded the range of therapies offered and we warmly welcome the new members of the clinic team: MaryJane Whitaker, homeopath, Catherine Green, psychotherapist and counsellor, Christine Barnes, beauty therapist, Claire Shepherd, osteopath, Claire Spizick, pilates, Kim Pierpoint, yoga and Julia Deacon, massage.

Carrie is returning to the clinic in April and is looking forward to treating her patients again. She is also excited about the introduction of the new Mind and Body Therapy (MaBT). The Orchard Clinic is the only wellbeing centre in this area able to offer this groundbreaking therapy. All four of our massage therapists have completed training and are qualified to deliver MaBT.

The Orchard Clinic is now open every Saturday for massage and psychotherapy and occasionally for osteopathy.

November 2009

Kelley's baby Georgina was born in late July and is doing really well and Ben is enjoying having a little sister.

We welcome Alison and Lloyd Clark-Morris who will be working in the podiatry team.

We have expanded the range of treatments available on a Saturday morning and can now offer osteopathy and podiatry on some Saturdays.

We've launched Christmas vouchers which are a great way to treat a friend! For £45 a voucher for a treatment, such as a massage, plus a small gift, all presented in an attractive bag is an ideal present for those hard to buy for friends and family. The voucher can be redeemed for any of the treatments offered at the Orchard.

July 2009

Carrie and Su are now able to offer remedial and hot stone massage on Saturday mornings.

We continue to work professionally with a local homeopath, an acupuncturist and a pilates fitness instructor.

Jayne Wells, a physiotherapist with whom we have a long standing and successful partnership, will now be practising at the Orchard Clinic.

Expanding the team we are delighted to welcome highly respected osteopath Saffron Ray and we wish the very best to Bruce Carnegie as he leaves us to focus on his own business in Chapel Row.

January 2009

We are delighted to welcome back Mel, our Podiatrist/Chiropodist, who has recently returned from her maternity leave after giving birth to the gorgeous Milo.

Having finished his locum period with us Richard has moved on to a position in the NHS.

Carrie’s little boy Joshua is doing well and Carrie is relishing motherhood. She has now returned part-time to the clinic and the massage team is working hard with great results.

We are very pleased to have Elaine Miles working part-time in reception.

Hot Stone Massage is now available! The heat complements the massage and feels great, why not try one for a treat?

Patients are benefiting as our multi-disciplinary clinic allows the practitioners to draw on each others’ knowledge and experience for advice or a second opinion.
